How do we navigate the joys and sorrows, the confusion of life? We cultivate deep awareness through meditation. It is the first step in working with our mind.
Opening our heart is key to mastering interdependence. We need an open heart to give and receive help from others. Jealousy and pride block us from accepting support and recognizing interdependence.
The second way to work with our mind is through everyday experience. We master our mind through meditation and awareness, yet meditation is not available to everyone. We need other methods to manage our life.
We are born with the potential to evolve. To actualize our potential, we need to upgrade our current software to the pro-version of life, which includes limitless love, compassion, joy, and kindness.
We base our lives on the idea of in-dependence, but nothing happens independently. The truth of inter-dependence is the Buddha’s most relevant teaching for working with life experience and for bringing about positive change.
The power to overcome challenges ultimately lies within us. It depends upon our understanding of interdependence. Life is like a puzzle. Until we can put the pieces together, we rely on others.
